Learning how to commute
Heres the thing, everyday like a million other people I make the commute into the city. Unfortunately i’m not one for strict routine and coupled with my morbid fear of claustrophobia I feel the need to get OFF the train and bus and well, shake it up a bit.
The thing is my commute, all 5km’s of it, can take on a shitty day, 45mins! Sometimes I do walk it, admittedly this means me getting up earlier, (yes it needs to become more of a habit than a chore), but 55mins later i’m in the door… go figure. However this get up earlier 55min thing needs speeding up a little.
Now I am no cyclist, and before you call me a fitness skiver, I joined the uni gym and am working my way up to the idea of cycling to work. I feel cycling kills loads of birds with one stone…Allows me to create my own adventure to and from work, is the greener option while saving cash and losing calories and lastly crosses off one of the “things to do before i’m 30 list” … own a bike I love and enjoy riding… what could be better?
Heres my answer, well to which bike anyway! Now I need to earn me one…
